About Me…
I’m Jo, and through JBA Assists I provide practical bookkeeping and business support to small businesses. With over 20 years’ experience in administration and business support, including nearly 10 years managing the financial and administrative side of a small business, I understand what it takes to keep things organised and running smoothly behind the scenes.
My experience covers a wide range of financial and office responsibilities, including bookkeeping, payroll and pensions, VAT, CIS, invoicing and credit control, supplier accounts, bank reconciliations, reporting and general office management. I’m also experienced in Excel and enjoy creating clear systems and processes that make day-to-day work easier and more efficient.
I’m AML supervised and have hands-on experience with Making Tax Digital, having volunteered early and completed my own MTD submissions. I’m Xero certified, Sage certified and experienced with QuickBooks, and I can support clients with their bookkeeping and MTD requirements, including making submissions on their behalf.
I started JBA Assists because I genuinely enjoy helping people get organised and feel more in control of their business. Seeing clients gain clarity, reduce stress and move forward with confidence is what motivates me every day.
My approach is friendly, practical and straightforward. I take the time to understand how you and your business work, then find simple ways to make things more organised, manageable and efficient. I know that every small business works differently, so the support I provide is flexible rather than one-size-fits-all.
